Sydney has a diverse real estate background. Beginning in 1992, Sydney started her own firm, Anderson Architectural Properties, Inc. which specialized in luxury, residential leasing. She established a strong clientele, which led her into brokerage of historic commercial investment property with Property One, Inc.
In 1995, Sydney joined Sizeler Real Estate Management Company Inc., responsible for representing a Real Estate Investment Trust portfolio, where she was responsible for leasing 12 strip centers totaling over 1,500,000 square feet of retail space. To maximize income for the REIT, Sydney was responsible for researching and producing market studies to establish the proper tenant mix for each center as required by the location and continuity of the centers. In addition, she was involved in the re-developments, including establishing tenant mixes, forecasting, budgeting, and tenant coordination between the Tenant, the Architect and the Landlord for each new tenant and remodels. In 1998, Sydney joined Corporate Realty, Inc. in their retail leasing division. She has been responsible for placing many national retail, restaurant and specialty tenants throughout Louisiana. She has sold various investment properties and focuses on the French Quarter for both tenants and landlord representation. One of her most recent Landlord property representations is Jackson Brewery Millhouse (JAX). Jax is a festival mall located in the heart of the French Quarter generating the highest retail rents in the city.
While working for Corporate Realty, Sydney has also represented many national retailers such as, Rite Aid, GNC, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Sephora, and West Marine. In addition, she has brokered properties for preferred developers of Rite Aid, McDonalds, and Firestone.
Sydney graduated from the University of Texas (Austin) with a Bachelor of Science. She is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers and New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors and continuing classes for Commercial Investment Division certification.
